The Club & The Instructors
The Club
Harrow Shotokan Karate (HSK) was founded in 2011 by Shyam Raithatha.
Unlike many karate clubs and karate organisations in the UK, HSK has direct links to the home of karate, Japan.
We belong to the Japan Karate Shoto Federation (JKS) with it's world headquaters in Tokyo, Japan via The Japan Karate Shoto Federation - England (JKS England).
We teach karate as it is taught in Japan. We have regular trips to Japan to train and also have regular visits from Japanese instructors from the JKS World Headquarters.
Harrow Shotokan Karate is also affiliated to the English Karate Federation (EKF) and the the World Karate Federation (WKF) which is the only world karate body to be recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC)
